Yoga by Anuja, age 17 Freshman

Yoga is beneficial to me because Queen 1 and Queen 2 are teaching me. They teach how to relax. I am comfortable doing yoga by listening to songs to make me relax. I feel more energetic when Queen 1 and Queen 2 invite other people to join yoga. it helped me get more strong and relaxed. It helps me how to sit cross legged and balance. It helps me to move from dark state to light state, like arrogant to humble. It helped me emotionally, mentally, socially, and physically.


From Cynical to True

I’ve changed Cyn’s name to True for obvious reasons.

Yesterday our student Nia announced it was National Happiness Day and the class chose standing poses to ground excess agitation and aggression, twisting poses to clear out the pollen of doubt and anxiety and backbends to open up to Happiness. Here’s what True wrote about class yesterday~

Cyn Surprises

This morning after class, Cyn wrote:

“Yoga does not yield to creed or ethnicity, nor is it a product of popular culture in the pursuit to an unachievable “magazine body.” Rather, yoga is a state of being; connected to your higher self, you obtain self awareness and inner bliss. Achievable anywhere in the world, yoga is an international fad affecting millions of lives by its simplicities and transcendental qualities.”

Cyn Revealed

Our almost dismissed student has asked for a code name. From now on he is CYN which stands for being the most cynical kid in the room.
